How the fees are calculated

What "Buyers" means

Fees aren't everything: a cheaper platform with fewer buyers can mean waiting weeks or taking a lower price. The Buyers rating is our estimate of how many active buyers each platform has for that kind of item, from Very high to Low. It's a judgment call, not official data. Local pickup depends entirely on where you live, so it's marked that way. For items worth $500 or more, the calculator suggests trying fee-free local pickup first and falling back to the best shipping platform after two weeks.

Fees last checked November 5, 2026. Platforms change fees often, and promotions, store subscriptions, payout methods and taxes can change your real number, so treat this as a close estimate. Everything is calculated in your browser; nothing you type is saved.

Questions

Where is the best place to sell LEGO?
BrickLink has the lowest fees (3% or less) and the most dedicated LEGO buyers, especially for minifigures. eBay has the widest reach for sealed sets. Local pickup on Facebook Marketplace has no fees at all.
How much does BrickLink charge sellers?
3% of each order up to $500, 2% of the portion from $500 to $1,000, and 1% above $1,000. Payment processing is separate and varies by payment method.
How do I check what a LEGO set really sells for?
Look at recent sales, not asking prices. The calculator's buttons open recent sales on eBay (official LEGO only), Mercari and BrickLink's price guide.
How much does eBay take when you sell a comic or LEGO set?
With no eBay Store, eBay charges a final value fee of 13.25% for comic books and 13.6% for most other categories, including LEGO, on the total sale (item, shipping and sales tax), plus $0.30 per order at $10 or less or $0.40 above $10.
What is the cheapest place to sell collectibles?
Local pickup on Facebook Marketplace has no fees at all. For shipped sales, Facebook Marketplace (5%) and Whatnot are usually cheaper than eBay, while eBay usually has the most buyers. This calculator compares them side by side for your exact price.
How do I know what my comic or LEGO set is actually worth?
Look at sold listings, not asking prices. Type your item's name into the calculator and tap Check eBay sold prices to see what it really sold for recently.
What is a break-even price?
It's the lowest price you can sell for on that platform without losing money, after fees and shipping.
