Is Coyote vs. Acme worth watching? (No spoilers)

Worth watching

This film completely understands what made the original Looney Tunes so funny, and also manages to be a real movie with a story about modern corporate America. The mix of live action and animation is the best I've seen. If you grew up with Looney Tunes, see it, ideally in theaters.

Coyote vs. Acme review

Coyote VS. ACME perfectly understands what made the original shorts so funny and iconic, and perfectly recaptures it on the big screen.  It does a wonderful job of knowing what kind of movie it is, but also being more than a 2D cheap film made for laughs.  The story is engaging, has something to say about modern corporate America, and feels like a real movie.

The entire theatre was engaged, laughing at nearly every joke, and almost all stayed through the main credits, both to enjoy the visuals and to take in the film.

Id you grew up with looney tunes, this is a movie worth seeing, arguably in theaters if you can.  While it is certainly still enjoyable, and funny, to those who did not, I think it's far less impactful, which is okay.

The blend of animation and live action is by far the best I've seen.  The actors never feel as if they are talking to a green ball, and the world somehow works.  There is just enough animated elements in each scene to make it feel like one thing, where both coexist.

Coyote vs. Acme ending explained

Wile E. Coyote and his lawyer Kevin take Acme to court over its faulty products. Bugs Bunny reveals that Acme tested its products on toons, and Road Runner shows up to tearfully testify for his old enemy. Acme's CEO, Foghorn Leghorn, admits to the testing. It also (finally) comes out that Coyote started the lawsuit partly as a scheme to finally catch Road Runner.

Even so, Acme wins the case. And I love this, in reality big corporations rarely pay for their sins. But afterward, Coyote, Kevin and his niece trap Foghorn and an Acme executive in the contraption Coyote built for Road Runner, which makes us feel a little bit better about society.

The theme is persistence even when it never pays off, just like the chase itself. At the end, Coyote is still chasing Road Runner, just as we all chase these corporations.

Does Coyote vs. Acme have a post-credits scene?

No. Coyote vs. Acme has no mid-credits or post-credits scene. However, the credits do include a dedication to the fans who campaigned to get the movie released, which is worth sticking around for.
