Issue #2: Who dies in Doomsday?

Today's a huge issue! It's filled with Doomsday hype, some crazy DC news, plus more info on the coveted Marvel x Star Wars crossover!

This week:

Let's get straight into it, starting with $250 up for grabs if you can guess who dies in Avengers: Doomsday!

The Doomsday Death Pool

Call the deaths. Win Doom.

Doctor Doom on Throne 1:10 Art Scale Limited Edition statue by Iron Studios

Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters December 18, and with 50 characters packed into one movie, not everyone is walking out alive. So I built a death pool.

Tap every character you think dies. You get 1 point for every death you call correctly and ½ point for every survivor. Characters who don't show up in the movie don't count for or against you.

The prize: the winner picks either the Doctor Doom on Throne 1:10 Art Scale Limited Edition statue from Iron Studios or $250. (The statue is US only.)

It's free, and you can change your picks as often as you want until entries lock on Thursday, December 17 at noon CT. When you lock in, you get a card with your kill list to share. Post it and tag me. I want to see who's bold enough to kill off Steve Rogers.

LEGO Wants You to Mash Up Marvel and Star Wars

Hope Assembles: Build the Ultimate Mash-Up. LEGO minifigure art of Darth Vader, Thanos, Doctor Doom, Venom, Ultron and stormtroopers

LEGO Ideas just launched Hope Assembles, a fan design contest that crosses Star Wars with Marvel Comics to celebrate 50 years of A New Hope. There are three challenges (characters, vehicles and scenes), and the winning design from each becomes an official LEGO Ideas set. The catch: the Star Wars side has to come from A New Hope only, and the Marvel side has to come from the comics, not the movies. Builds need to be 400 to 3,000 pieces, no AI-made images, and entries close November 12. Doctor Doom running the Death Star feels like a lock. If you enter, post your build in the Discord and I might feature it here. Source

Marvel: VisionQuest Premieres This Week

Paul Bettany as Vision tipping a fedora next to Ultron

Marvel surprised New York Comic Con by screening the entire first episode of VisionQuest, and the first reactions are glowing. Paul Bettany is back as Vision, James Spader returns as Ultron, and the show is being called the final chapter of the WandaVision trilogy. It hits Disney+ this Wednesday, October 14. I've been avoiding the latest trailers, since they seem to be giving WAY too much away. But adding Ultron has really put this show on my radar. I went from completely uncaring to quite interested. So far this trilogy has been plagued by poor endings (WandaVision) and horrible scripts (Agatha), so here's hoping this one finally sticks the landing! Also out of NYCC: Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will be the show's last, with Finn Jones and Krysten Ritter joining Charlie Cox. Source
