My Top 5 Nerdy Picks for Halloween

5. Midnight #2 Alternate Covers

Marvel's new Midnight horror books are just starting to come out, so who knows how good they'll actually be. But whatever's inside, the Alternate Covers for issue #2 are amazing. They all reference famous horror movies, from The Thing to The Birds, and even Dracula! I've already ordered Spider-Man and Fantastic Four, the two I'm most excited to read. The only reason they're #5 is that they don't ship until November!

4. LEGO Zombie Captain America

This figure is a few years old now, but it's still one of the most beloved LEGO Marvel minifigures ever made. It's printed top to bottom, with a new shield design and dual-molded legs, and it just looks so cool. With more Marvel Zombies on the way, it's only going to get better with age.

3. Freaky Nikki Funko Pop!

I don't usually cover Funko Pops unless they're rare, collectible, or signed. But this one gets special treatment, because it's my favorite movie character (from my favorite film) of the year. I haven't bought a Pop in almost a year, but she might just break my streak. She looks so freaking cool!

2. LEGO Nightmare Before Christmas

You all knew there had to be a LEGO set in the top 2, and since nothing can beat Batman, here it is. The Nightmare Before Christmas is my favorite (non-horror) Halloween movie, and I've watched it every year for well over a decade. The set is getting older now, so you may need to check secondhand sellers or a physical store to find one. But it's worth it: it recreates Halloween Town perfectly. I mean, just look at it!

1. Batman: The Long Halloween

Look, how could anything beat this? If you somehow haven't read The Long Halloween, stop reading this email and go pick up a copy. But what I really want to highlight is the beautiful, iconic covers. Whether you grab the latest reprint or a graded original, it's the perfect piece to display this time of year (or any time, honestly).
